Why we do it

IT For Change was formed in 2008 after realizing that one of the most important sectors was also one of the most underserved in terms of using technology for growth and enhancing effectiveness.

Our guiding principles

  • Creating solutions based on open source software (Drupal for websites and CiviCRM for member database) because they are free to own, are used worldwide in all sectors, and the philosophical values of the open source software community are similar to those of the nonprofit sector.
  • Building long term, "value added" relationships with our clients through sharing best practices as well as providing ongoing suggestions on how to increase measurable results.
  • A strong commitment to training and measuring progress.
  • A focus on keeping costs down and impact high, through balancing features and usability.
